Wow, so raw and emotional. Inspiring even, I haven’t written because of the fear of displaying emotion more publicly on Substack, thank you for inspiring me
This doesn’t feel like something you need to apologize for. It feels honest, raw, and painfully human.
“Good mourning” says a lot about grief without trying to make it beautiful, and I think that’s what makes the poem land. You don’t have to be “better” to write about it, either.
Sometimes surviving the feeling is the only conclusion available.
